On 22nd of December, Consul-General Mr. Shi Weiqiang held the New Year reception for Chinese Students in Cape Town. Mr. Shi greeted students warmly and extended the best wishes to them. He also hoped students to cherish the precious opportunities, study hard, achieve the accomplishment and make contribution to homeland in turn.
He reminded students to abide by local laws and legislation and respect tradition and common practices of local communities. Meanwhile, students need to be cautious about personal safety.
About 40 Chinese student representatives from University of Cape Town, University of Western Cape, University of Stellenbosch and Cape Peninsular University of Technology attended the reception. They expressed the appreciation for regards and supports from Chinese Consulate General in Cape Town.
