As for now, the consular office of the Chinese Consulate General in Cape Town remains closed until further notice. No visitors are accepted without appointments. No application documents are accepted or handed out by the staff of the consulate directly without appointments. All application documents should be delivered by courier service and will be returned by courier. No registered mail will be accepted.
Only in exceptional circumstances, you may deliver or pick up documents in person by telephonic appointment with the following numbers on working days : 021-6740592(10:00-13:00), 072-5280283 (13:00-14:00). Please submit the documents to the security guard at the time of your appointment. Your documents will not be accepted by the security guard without a prior appointment.
