Consul General Ren Faqiang Attends Wheelchair Donation Ceremony for the City of Cape Town

On 11 June, the Chinese Consulate-General in Cape Town donated wheelchairs and other medical assistant supplies to the City of Cape Town. Consul General Ren Faqiang and Executive Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis attended the donation ceremony.

Consul General Ren stated that China is a partner in South Africa’s economic and social development, and that the Consulate-General stands ready to continue deepening cooperation with the City of Cape Town in areas such as community poverty alleviation and public healthcare initiatives, with the shared goal of improving the well-being of local communities.

Mayor Hill-Lewis expressed his appreciation for the Consulate-General’s donation, noting that the medical supplies would help many people in need improve their quality of life and regain confidence, while also allowing them to experience the warmth and kindness of their friends from China.
