On 14 August, 2026, Consul General Ren Faqiang visited Cape Town office of Chinese Visa Application Service Center to conduct an on‑site review of the window operations and provide guidance, stressing the importance of promoting people-to-people exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and South Africa through high-quality services.

Consul General Ren Faqiang exchanged views with visa applicants who were about to travel to China for tourism, study and work, and presented visas on the spot to two South African citizens who were preparing to visit China as tourists.

The accompanying consular officials also held exchanges with the staff of the visa office.
